Representative engagements, presented with discretion.

The work we do is confidential by nature. What follows illustrates the kinds of engagements we take on, described as representative engagement types, not as identifiable client projects.

How we present our work

We do not publish client names, vessel names, builders, locations, dates, or any detail that could identify an engagement without the client's written permission. The entries below are anonymized descriptions of representative engagement types drawn from the practice's areas of work. They are illustrations of scope and approach, not accounts of specific named projects. Where an entry reflects a specific engagement, it uses only wording approved for public use.

Owner representation, confidential new build

Owner-side representation during the construction of a large custom yacht at a European shipyard. The engagement is confidential; the founder's new-build representation background is summarized on the Experience page.

Pre-purchase survey and negotiation support

A representative engagement type: a buyer weighing a brokerage motor yacht engages us to survey the vessel, observe the sea trial, and interpret the findings in plain terms: what is cosmetic, what is structural, what each item is likely to cost, and how the results should inform price, contract conditions, or the decision to walk away.

  • Surveys
  • Acquisition consulting

Refit oversight and change-order discipline

A representative engagement type: an owner entering a significant yard period engages us to hold the specification, schedule, and budget together: reviewing quotes before signature, attending the yard on a set cadence, pressure-testing change orders before they are approved, and reporting progress with photographs the owner can trust from anywhere in the world.

  • Refit project management
  • Owner representation

Damage documentation for an insurance claim

A representative engagement type: after a grounding, weather event, or machinery failure, we document the damage methodically: extent and condition, supported by photographs and a structured report the owner can put in front of the parties handling the claim.

  • Damage documentation

Technical stewardship between yard periods

A representative engagement type: an owner without a full shoreside technical office engages us for ongoing management support: preventive-maintenance planning, vendor coordination, budget tracking, and technical backup for the crew, so small issues are caught while they are still small.

  • Yacht management
  • Crew support

Named, detailed case studies will appear on this page only with the written permission of the clients involved. Until such permissions are granted, entries here remain anonymized representative engagement types.

Your project will be treated the same way.

The discretion applied to every entry on this page is the discretion your engagement would receive. Tell us about the vessel or project in confidence, and it stays in confidence.
